On April 30 the first number of the first volume of the new Eurasian Mathematical Journal was issued.

The journal is founded by the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University in cooperation with the M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University, the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia and one of the oldest universities in Europe, the University of Padua, in which the famous Galileo Galilei worked.

The editors-in-chief are Professor V.I. Burenkov, a foreign member of the Crimean Academy of Sciences, Professor M. Otelbaev, a member of the National Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan, the director of the Eurasian Mathematical Institute, and Professor V.A. Sadovnichy, a member of the Academy of Sciences of Russia, the rector of the M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University.

The Editorial Board consists of world-wide known mathematicians representing many countries of Europe and Asia, altogether more than 50 members. Among them there are members and corresponding members of national academies of sciences: Sh. Alimov (Uzbekistan), O.V. Besov (Russia), B. Boyarski (Poland),A.A. Borubaev (Kyrgyzstan), M. Imanaliyev (Kyrgyzstan), T.Sh. Kalmenov (Kazakhstan), V.M. Kokilashvili (Georgia), A. Kufner (Czech Republic), J. Pecaric (Croatia), L.-E. Persson (Sweden), V.D. Stepanov (Russia), I.A. Taimanov (Russia), Z.D. Usmanov (Tajikistan); rectors of universities: V.M. Filippov (Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia), K.K. Kenzhibaev (K. Zhubanov Aktyubinsk State University), B.T. Zhumagulov (Kazakhstan); a winner of the Senior Whitehead Prize of the London Mathematical Society V.G. Maz,ya (Sweden); winner of the prestigious international mathematical prize U.U. Umirbaev (Kazakhstan); and many other distinguished mathematicians, a winner of K.I. Satpaev prize E.D. Nursultanov (Kazakhstan).

A working language of the journal is English.

Eurasian Mathematical Journal will publish carefully selected original research papers in all areas of mathematics of professorial level, written by mathematicians first of all from Europe and Asia. However papers by mathematicians from other continents are also welcome.

All submitted papers will the sent for reviewing to leading experts in the area.
